ONEE strengthens water supply for Taounate and its surrounding areas

The National Office for Electricity and Potable Water (ONEE) commissioned, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, a structural project aimed at strengthening the production and distribution system of potable water for the city of Taounate and neighboring communes, sourced from the Sahla dam water treatment plant.
With a total cost of 92 million Dirhams, financed by ONEE through a joint loan from the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KFW) Bank, the French Development Agency (AFD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the African Development Bank (AfDB), this project consists of the extension and equipping of raw and treated water pumping stations, the extension and equipping of the potable water treatment plant with an additional flow of 8,640 m3 per day, the reinforcement of raw and treated water supply lines through the installation of 400 mm diameter pipes over a length of 9,800 linear meter…
