Development of traditional fishing infrastructure

Some 12 million dirhams (MDH) have been injected for the development of traditional fishing infrastructure at the port of Tan-Tan, as part of projects financed by the American agency under the Millennium Challenge Corporation.The approximately 800 traditional fishermen registered in Tan-Tan will thus benefit from a 4,400 m2 complex connected to water, electricity, and sanitation networks, equipped with a waste treatment system, and provided with administrative premises and storage and leisure areas.This infrastructure, the realisation of which is part of the "Traditional Fishing" project, aims to improve the working conditions of fishermen and optimise the economic yield of the sector, according to the city's delegation of the National Office for Maritime Fisheries, which specifies that the management of the complex will be ensured by the "Wattayah for Traditional Fishing" cooperative.P…
