When will Masjid Assounna reopen?

Many are wondering if the Assouna mosque will temporarily reopen its doors to welcome worshippers on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The information on this subject having been neither confirmed nor denied by the officials of the supervisory ministry at the provincial and regional level, gives rise to a situation that appears, to say the least, contradictory with the new Constitution and, more particularly, with Article 27 which gives citizens the right to access information from the administration. The rehabilitation project of the "Assounna" mosque is, however, the only one whose technical realisation was not entrusted to the "Building" service under the regional directorate of Equipment, as was the case for many other places of worship programmed in the same context, like the Haj Thami, Sidi Abdelkrim, Laarissa, Fokani, and Azib Derai mosques.
