Rome – The National School of Administration (ENSA) and the National School of Administration (SNA) of Italy signed, on Friday in Rome, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening their cooperation and boosting the exchange of information, experiences, and good practices in the field of public service, while allowing African countries to benefit from their common expertise.
Signed by the Director General of ENSA, Nada Biaz, and the President of SNA, Paola Severino, this memorandum focuses in particular on the promotion of a range of areas including development and innovation in public administration, public information management, as well as the training of senior executives, for both Morocco and Italy, as well as for African countries.
During this ceremony, which took place in the presence of the Moroccan Ambassador to Italy, Youssef Balla, and Saïd Rachek and Rabii Leouifoudi, respectively Director of Resources, Programs and Training, and Director of Studies, Research and International Cooperation at ENSA, Ms. Biaz reviewed the various activities of the National School of Administration, highlighting its role in the training of senior Moroccan executives.
She stated, in a statement to MAP, that this memorandum of understanding aims to create synergies and develop research and analysis around themes related to public management and artificial intelligence in public governance.
Ms. Biaz also expressed the desire to establish a link between Europe and Africa, given the favorable geopolitical and geographical position of the Kingdom, to provide training and programs to partners in Africa on specific and targeted themes.
For his part, the head of European and International Affairs at SNA, Massimo Gaiani, welcomed the conclusion of this MoU which will inevitably contribute to strengthening the solid cooperation between the two countries, saying he was "interested in developing triangular cooperation with Morocco and working together at the levels of the African continent and the Mediterranean basin."
Subsequently, Ms. Biaz signed another memorandum of understanding with the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the Italian university "Luiss", Aristide Police, aimed at establishing a partnership for development in terms of training, higher education, and research in areas of common interest.
The two Italian institutions, signatories with ENSA, are looking towards setting up joint programs and co-organizing events in Morocco and Italy within the framework of the action plans relating to these two memoranda of understanding.
