Abdellatif Ouahbi meets with the Danish Ambassador in Rabat

The Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, met this Wednesday in Rabat with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Morocco, Berit Basse, within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and their common commitment to exemplary judicial cooperation.

During this meeting, the Danish diplomat praised the exceptional quality of judicial cooperation between Morocco and Denmark, while expressing her deep gratitude to the Moroccan authorities for their responsiveness and efficiency.

She particularly highlighted the successful operation carried out by the Moroccan police services, which led to the recent arrest in Tangier of one of the main suspects involved in a major criminal case in Denmark.

This operation, it is recalled, was carried out at the official request of the Danish authorities, as part of close international judicial cooperation.

For his part, Ouahbi reaffirmed the Kingdom of Morocco's commitment to the principle of fighting impunity, emphasizing that this arrest reflects the country's determination to honour its international commitments and combat transnational crime.

He also reiterated Morocco's readiness to further strengthen cooperation mechanisms with Denmark to promote fair justice and ensure judicial security.

It should be noted that this meeting illustrates the depth of bilateral relations between Morocco and Denmark, as well as their common desire to expand and consolidate areas of cooperation, particularly in the fight against crime and the promotion of values of justice and responsibility.
