InDrive deploys its "Moto" service in Rabat

"After a successful deployment in Casablanca, this new initiative aims to meet the growing needs for efficient transport solutions in the capital, known for its traffic density," indicates inDrive in a press release.



The service allows users to book motorcycle rides via the inDrive application while negotiating the fare directly with the driver, a unique model that places transparency and flexibility at the heart of the user experience. Introduced for the first time in Marrakech 18 months ago, this concept has since been extended to cities like Tangier and Agadir, gaining popularity among users.

"The success encountered in Casablanca and other cities has confirmed the interest in this service, and Rabat, with its dense traffic, was an obvious choice for this expansion," declared Hamza Madrani, inDrive representative in Morocco, cited in the press release.

He stated that motorcycles allow for a reduction in travel times by an average of 40%, offering a fast and practical alternative to car journeys. With fares starting from 9 dirhams, the service is also intended to be an economical solution, allowing for savings of up to 30%.

This model relies on direct negotiation between the passenger and the driver. The user proposes a fare, which the driver can accept, modify, or refuse, guaranteeing a final price deemed fair by both parties.

Since its arrival in Morocco, inDrive has expanded its services to meet a growing demand for diversified mobility. "The introduction of motorcycles completes our offer, providing the inhabitants of Rabat with a solution adapted to bypass traffic jams," highlighted Mr. Madrani.
