Located on the campus of UM6P Rabat, this branch aims to position itself as a center of excellence in cybersecurity in Africa.
It offers a three-year program, open to students with a Bac+2/Bac+3 level, particularly those from preparatory classes and bachelor's degrees (DEUG, Licence, etc.). Students can join the College of Computing either after the Baccalaureate or directly in the third year, and must go through the same selection process for both campuses. This new curriculum complements the existing offer in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and will be open via entrance exam in June 2025.
Professor Rachid Guerraoui, President of the College of Computing steering committee, stated: "The opening of this new branch in Rabat reaffirms our commitment to developing skills in strategic digital fields, such as cybersecurity. This expansion is part of our vision to create two centers of excellence in computer science: artificial intelligence and machine learning in Benguerir, and cybersecurity in Rabat. We thus aim to train future leaders capable of meeting digital challenges and driving digital transformation across Morocco and Africa."
"UM6P College of Computing" has the mission of training the new generation of leaders in digital sciences. With a community of 32 professors, 91 doctoral students, and 239 students, the establishment offers engineering degrees and doctorates in computer science through study programs combining theoretical fundamentals and technological innovations, in line with industry needs. In a learning environment equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, such as the 'UM6P Toubkal' supercomputer, students also benefit from a network of academic and industrial partners to enrich their training and research path.
