The Rabat Zoological Garden announced on Wednesday that it has welcomed approximately 2 million visitors, including nationals and tourists, since its opening in 2012.

In a statement released on the occasion of its 3rd anniversary, the Rabat Zoological Garden highlights that it thus positions itself as "a very popular attraction for lovers of wildlife, environmental education, and outdoor leisure". On the occasion of this anniversary, the zoological garden will organise, next Friday, a scientific meeting under the theme "Gazelles in Morocco, a national heritage to conserve, develop, and value: what policy?, what approach for the reconstitution of ex situ founding populations and in situ translocation?". This event takes place within the framework of the garden's mission of conservation and protection of animals and the ecosystems in which they live, according to the statement. The scientific meeting will be followed by a day of celebrations, which will include a Macaw show, face painting for children, animal mascots, and a drum show.
