During this meeting, which takes place within the framework of the official working visit of H.M. King Juan Carlos I of Spain to Morocco, Mr. Daoudi and the heads of 13 Spanish universities assessed the state of bilateral cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research and the means to promote these links.
In a statement to MAP, Mr. Daoudi indicated that this meeting is in line with the efforts to develop the national higher education system and promote scientific research.
The objective of the exchanges with the Spanish side is to achieve a form of institutional twinning between Morocco and Spain, similar to twinning agreements signed with France, Great Britain, and Canada, he explained. The minister recalled the national strategy consisting of attracting major international public universities to open branches in the Kingdom, hence the importance of these talks in terms of defining products adapted to the needs of the Moroccan economy and industry and in terms of training.
