In a statement to the press, following a meeting with the Head of Government, Abdelilah Benkirane, Wendy Sherman stressed that the consolidation of the ties uniting the two countries responds to the common vision of H.M. King Mohammed VI and President Barack Obama who agreed, during their recent telephone conversation, to intensify political consultation and to strengthen bilateral relations within the framework of the Strategic Dialogue. Furthermore, the American official indicated having discussed with Benkirane economic issues and the political and democratic reforms underway in Morocco, as well as ways to promote bilateral relations.
