The national plan presented in Rabat

The Minister of Communication, Government Spokesperson, Mustapha El Khalfi presented, on Monday in Rabat, to representatives of the written press, the national plan for Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT). El Khalfi emphasized, during this meeting, that this plan mainly aims to “meet Morocco's international commitments regarding the transition to digital broadcasting, to protect national sovereignty in this sector, and to accompany technological development.” The minister noted that since the official launch of DTT in 2006, the usage rate of this technology barely exceeds 5%, while digital broadcasting currently covers about 80% of the national territory.
