Sufi evening with the Taifa Aissawya of the capital

The ONA Foundation is organising a Sufi evening with the Taifa Aissawya of Rabat, on Friday 10 August from 10 pm at the Villa des Arts in Rabat.

Morocco's Sufi traditions represent a precious ancestral legacy; a message of spirituality, love and universal peace.

The most important Sufi expressions in our country emerged within the various Zaouia, including the Zaouia Aissawya, founded by SIDI Lhadi Ben Issa in the 16th century in Meknes. It mainly consists of poetry recitations, divine invocations and mystical chants, all accompanied by rhythms that transport you through time and space. The Taifa Aissawya of Rabat was created in 1989 by its Mqadem, Mr Driss Moutawakil. It is recognised for its spiritual and cultural commitment to preserving this noble heritage. It has participated in a large number of events and festivals at both national and international levels.
