The Association Sportive de Salé (ASS) against Renaissance de Tanger and Amal Essaouira against Chabab Rif Al Hoceima are the two semi-final fixtures of the National Basketball Championship scheduled for 25 June at the Nador hall. ASS reached this stage of the competition by dominating Renaissance Berkane in the home and away matches. Its opponent in the semi-final, Renaissance de Tanger, defeated Wydad de Casablanca in the previous round. The Tangier club punched its ticket for the semi-final after winning its match by default (20-0), since WAC had fielded a player who was not qualified. Despite its defeat in the return match by a 10-point margin, RST qualified. WAC must be kicking itself for this error. The other semi-final fixture will pit Amal Essaouira, which eliminated Moghreb de Fès, against Chabab Al Hoceima, winner of FUS Rabat. Two enticing fixtures are therefore on the programme for these semi-finals. The two winners will play the final on 27 June.
