Botola: COD Meknes parts ways with Abdelhay Ben Soltane

While the season is only on its 12th day, five coaches have already been thanked by their clubs. The latest to join the list is the coach of COD Meknes, Abdelhay Ben Soltane. The Tunisian technician was dismissed on Tuesday by the officials of the Ismaili capital's club due to the recent results recorded by the team.



Promoted this season to Botola D1, CODM has, in fact, not managed to find a regular rhythm in the elite and is stagnating at the bottom of the table with 14 points collected out of 36 possible. Moreover, the team's results over the last two days against OC Safi (0-3 defeat) and against Chabab Mohammedia (1-1) certainly precipitated the departure of the 57-year-old technician.

After the separation from Ben Soltane, CODM is reportedly thinking of replacing him with the former interim coach of Raja Casablanca, Abdelkrim Jinani, for the rest of the season. However, nothing official regarding this probable nomination has yet emanated from the club.
