For healthy and sustainable agriculture. This is the motto of the Swiss group Eléphant Vert, which has set its sights on the city of Meknes to establish its first factory in Morocco. An entity that will be ready by the end of the year at the Agropolis of the Ismaili city and which will promote the development of healthy agriculture in the Kingdom. "We are proud of this establishment of Eléphant Vert at the Agropolis of Meknes. With Nestlé, this company is the second Swiss group that has chosen to invest in Morocco. This shows that Swiss companies support the ambitious Moroccan agricultural strategy. Eléphant Vert thus contributes to the promotion of the Green Morocco Plan," indicated Bertrand Louis, Ambassador of Switzerland to Morocco, during a conference held on Thursday at the International Agriculture Fair in Morocco (SIAM).

For the success of the establishment of Eléphant Vert in Morocco, a convention on the promotion of healthy and sustainable agriculture in Morocco was signed between this Swiss group and the Crédit Agricole du Maroc Group, in the presence of Aziz Akhannouch, Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries. According to the terms of this convention, the Crédit Agricole du Maroc Group undertakes to support both Eléphant Vert Maroc for its own financing needs and the clients of this company to finance identified needs. For its part, the company Eléphant Vert Maroc undertakes to direct its clientele towards the network of the Crédit Agricole du Maroc Group and to mobilize technical expertise for the benefit of the clientele.

Eléphant Vert, which specializes in the production and export of bio-fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and bio-pesticides, is an entity emanating from Antenna Technologies. The latter is a Swiss foundation committed to the research and dissemination of technologies adapted to the essential needs of developing countries. In this sense, a second convention was signed between Antenna Technologies and the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries for the promotion of organic farming.
