The Moulay Ismail University of Meknès won the first innovation prize in the "Products applied in agriculture" category, at the end of the International Agricultural Exhibition of Meknès (SIAM).
Presented by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid to the president as a representative of the University and on behalf of all, during a closing dinner offered by His Majesty, this prize is the culmination of colossal work accomplished by the components of this university.
It is necessary, for this purpose, to thank first of all the teacher-researchers who were willing to transmit their innovative or original results to us (Mr. Nakhili, Mr. Moumni, Mr. Bih, Mr. Ibijbijen, Mrs. Nassiri, Mr. Boukil, Mrs. Bachir, Mr. Rahou, Mr. Zouhair).
"The objectives targeted by our participation this year have been largely exceeded and the bar has been set very high. The appointment will surely be made for next year to participate in a more significant way than today," underlines the president of the UIM, Prof. A. Lebrihi.
The participation of the UIM in the SIAM was remarkable and evident through the official UIM stand, installed within the research and innovation space (two inventions: biofertilisers and a force sensor which allows, among other things, the measurement of milk quality / an invention in the making: preparation of a biopesticide for the fight against fire blight / a research work: valorisation of Bituminaria as a forage plant). The SIAM was also a favourable opportunity to sign several agreements with other partners.
