Morocco is hosting the African Regional Preparatory Meeting for the 64th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar), on Wednesday 8 January, in Marrakech.
This event is part of the preparations for the 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (COP15), which will be held from 23 to 31 July 2025, in Zimbabwe.
The meeting, which will see the participation of some 70 international participants, experts, and decision-makers, will be overseen by the National Agency for Water and Forests (ANEF).
It will focus on themes such as improving cross-border coordination of wetlands and waterbird habitats, as well as reviewing draft resolutions for COP15.
