Marrakech welcomes Korean travel agents

The Moroccan National Tourist Office has managed to convince the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA) to hold its annual conference in Marrakech, in a first for this association, which represents the Korean tourism industry, and which is moving its main annual event to Morocco for the first time.

A press release received by Hespress stated that this conference, hosted by the Red City from December 14 to 19, brings together more than 60 participants, including senior officials of the "KATA" association, directors of Korean tour operators, and figures from the world of tourism in Korea, in addition to Korean journalists from the specialized and economic press.

The same source highlighted that this conference gives the association's members the opportunity to share the latest sales results and the latest trends related to tourism in Korea, and thus brings together all actors in the profession and recognized specialists around current topics concerning tourism in Korea and globally.

The agenda also includes strategies to be adopted for the Moroccan market in order to increase tourist flow between the two countries.

The Moroccan National Tourist Office stated that organizing this conference will enable the office's brand "Marrakech Forever," and generally the destination of Morocco, to position itself in one of the most dynamic tourist source markets currently, which is recording strong growth, highlighting that the value of the international Korean tourism market is estimated at more than 32.12 billion dollars with more than 23 million international trips.

The Moroccan National Tourist Office intends to exploit this enormous potential in order to increase the flow of Korean tourists to the Moroccan destination, and thus the "Light in Action" strategy continues in order to position Morocco among the most attractive tourist destinations on the global stage.
