The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has convinced the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA) to hold its annual congress in Marrakech. A first for this association representing the Korean tourism industry, which is relocating its major annual event to Morocco for the first time.
From 14 December until 19 December 2024, this congress brings together more than 60 participants, including the top management of KATA, leaders of Korean tour operators, major tourism personalities in South Korea, as well as Korean journalists from the specialised and economic press.
This congress allows KATA members to share their latest sales results and the latest trends related to tourism in South Korea. It thus brings together all the actors of the profession and recognised specialists around current topics related to tourism in South Korea and at the global level.
Also on the menu are the strategies to adopt for the Moroccan market in order to increase tourist flows between the two countries.
The organisation of this Congress thus allows the ONMT brand "Marrakech Forever" and more globally the Morocco destination to position itself in one of the most dynamic tourist source markets currently, which is recording strong growth. The weight of the Korean tourist market internationally is, in fact, estimated at more than 32.12 billion dollars for more than 23 million departures internationally.
The ONMT thus intends to exploit this enormous potential in order to increase the flow of Korean tourists to the Morocco destination.
The "Light in Action" strategy therefore continues to position the Morocco destination on the global chessboard of the most attractive tourist destinations.
