Marrakech: 12% increase in overnight stays in classified tourist accommodation establishments (EHTC) at the end of last September

The volume of tourist overnight stays recorded in the various classified tourist accommodation establishments (EHTC) in Marrakech recorded an increase of 12% during the first nine months of 2024, according to the Tourism Observatory. The number of overnight stays in EHTC in Marrakech reached 7.43 million at the end of last September, compared to 6.62 million during the same period in 2023, indicates the Tourism Observatory in its statistics on the evolution of tourism for the month of September.

The occupancy rate in EHTC in Marrakech reached 70% during the first nine months of the current year, compared to 66% during the same period in 2023.

For the month of September alone, the volume of tourist overnight stays in Marrakech's EHTC recorded an increase of 53%, specifies the Tourism Observatory.

During the month of September, the number of overnight stays in Marrakech's EHTC reached 905,008, compared to 590,778 during the same period in 2023.

The occupancy rate in Marrakech's EHTC reached 77% during the month of September, compared to 56% during the same period in 2023.

At the national level, the volume of overnight stays in EHTC reached more than 21.35 million during the first nine months of 2024, an increase of 10% compared to the same period a year earlier.

For the month of September alone, the volume of overnight stays in EHTC recorded an increase of 31% compared to September 2023.
