AI Film Awards: Artificial intelligence transforms cinema in Marrakech

The AI Film Awards arrive in Marrakech on December 2 to launch an African tour. In partnership with ESAV, the event will be held in parallel with the Marrakech Film Festival, bringing together creators, directors and AI experts around an innovative program. The AI Film Awards make their debut in Marrakech on December 2, 2024, marking the beginning of a promising African tour. In partnership with the École Supérieure des Arts Visuels (ESAV), this unique event will take place on the ESAV premises, in parallel with the Marrakech International Film Festival.

AI film creators, directors, artificial intelligence experts and young talents will gather around an innovative program, exploring the new frontiers of cinematographic creation. Under the patronage of Nabil Bouhajra, director of TV5MONDE Maghreb-Orient and president of the jury, the AI Film Awards 2024 will offer an in-depth reflection on the current challenges of cinema and technology.

This unique event will explore the new perspectives opened by artificial intelligence in cinematographic and audiovisual production, thus allowing participants to discover how AI is transforming storytelling and to debate it. The AI Film Awards in Marrakech also mark the launch of the AI Film Awards Africa, a major event that will be held in Marrakech from April 14 to 16, 2025, in partnership with GITEX Africa.

The program for this event will be rich and innovative, with masterclasses and conferences led by AI and cinema experts, as well as round tables on industry trends and the impact of AI on audiovisual production in the medium and long term. Participants will also have the opportunity to discover new projects through the AI Film Market, and to view selected AI films, highlighting avant-garde creations.

The presentation of the Crystal Brain Trophies will reward excellence in the use of AI for cinematographic creation, while a VIP evening will offer a valuable opportunity for networking between professionals and guests.

The Moroccan edition of this event will mark the beginning of an ambitious world tour, with stages planned in Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Niger, as well as in cities like Jamaica, Jeddah, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, London, Singapore, Malaysia and Paris. This international expansion aims to strengthen synergies between artificial intelligence and cinema, while fostering unprecedented collaborations within the global ecosystem of technological innovation.
