La Mamounia voted best palace in the world

La Mamounia voted best palace in the world

The prestigious British magazine "Conde Nast Traveler" has just raised the Marrakchi palace, La Mamounia, to the rank of best hotel in the world in 2015. It was chosen following the vote of more than 50,000 readers and competed alongside a hundred establishments.

Consecration for La Mamounia. The Marrakchi palace was voted best hotel establishment in 2015. It has indeed just received the "Best Hotel in the World Reader’s Choice 2015" award and that of the "Best Hotel Middle East and Africa Reader’s Choice 2015" by the British magazine "Conde Nast Traveller UK". The establishment, which was reopened in 2009, "is receiving such a distinction for the first time, proof of its success in consolidating its position as a symbol of luxury hotel management at a national and international level," specifies a press release from the hotel. With this award, La Mamounia is raised to the world's top rank for the quality of its service and facilities. It is also the very first time that a Moroccan and African palace has taken the top spot in this ranking. La Mamounia thus surpasses The Oberoi Udaivilas (Udaipur), Singita Grumeti (Tanzania), and Cheval Blanc Saint-Barthe Isle de France.

Note that Conde Nast Traveler calls on more than 50,000 readers who vote for their favourite establishment, among a hundred palaces proposed around the world, while respecting a grid of criteria relating to rooms, catering, service, location, design, and services within the hotel. The establishments are subsequently ranked according to the score obtained after the readers' vote.
