Installation of a “Palm Grove Educational Path” in Marrakech

Installation of a “Palm Grove Educational Path” in Marrakech

A new “Palm Grove Educational Path”, a set of educational tools for the promotion of good environmental practices, has just been set up at Jnane El Harti in Marrakech by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and its partners as part of the Programme for the Safeguarding and Development of the Marrakech Palm Grove. The objective of these educational modules is to reinforce environmental communication messages in public spaces to allow future generations to acquire a better understanding of the environment with the aim of inducing a better relationship with nature for urban populations, indicates a press release from the Foundation. The Foundation, which is chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Hasna, is a pioneer in this field of environmental awareness. In 2011, it created the first educational path at the Exotic Gardens of Bouknadel as a pilot project in Morocco. A variation of the educational path has also been installed, since 2011, at the Hermitage Park in Casablanca.
