Marrakech will be the world capital of Marketing in March 2015. The ochre city will host, for a week, the work of the "Global Marketer Week." This event, initiated by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), is stopping in Morocco after having travelled through Beijing, New York, Brussels, and Sydney. Thus, great marketing references will be in conclave to discuss brand developments and new trends in the sector. No fewer than 400 professionals are expected, representing more than 30 countries. The event will therefore be crowned by the organisation of the World Advertisers Conference. A meeting that constitutes a forum for world marketing leaders where they will discuss the major challenges of this discipline and strengthen their networking. "It is the first time that we are holding this meeting on the African continent. The choice of Morocco and precisely Marrakech reflects a new enthusiasm among major international advertisers for the growth prospects of the country and the African continent," indicates Stephan Loerke, Director General of the WFA, during a press conference held on Wednesday in Casablanca. Indeed, the dynamic that Morocco is experiencing makes it an important stopover at the regional level. The World Federation of Advertisers will convert the Moroccan potential into a lever for the development of the advertising and marketing sector and is committed to supporting local actors, whether at the national, Maghreb, or African level. "Indeed, the World Federation of Advertisers will give an accelerator to the continent's dynamic and will allow its members to discover up close the opportunities and specificities of the new growth frontier and African marketers to discover new trends," specifies for his part Mounir Jazouli, Vice-President of the Groupement des Annonceurs du Maroc (GAM) and elected member of the WFA executive committee. To do this, a memorandum of understanding was ratified between the WFA and the GAM. In addition to identifying the modalities for organising The Global Marketer Week, the convention sets the various structural projects to be conducted by the two institutions in order to develop audience measurement tools and advertising self-regulation mechanisms in Morocco and Africa. GAM, 30 years of advertising and marketing. Since its creation in 1984, the Groupement des Annonceurs du Maroc has established itself as a major partner in the advertising sector in Morocco. The GAM also aims to be a permanent forum for the exchange of experiences and the confrontation of reflections between professionals in the sector on themes related to their activity.
