Fifteen shows, sixty artists and more than 70,000 festival-goers are expected during the 4th edition of the “Marrakech du Rire” Festival, scheduled from 10 to 15 June 2014. The event, directed by Karim Debbouze, brother of Jamel Debbouze, promises even more novelties. “This year, we went from 7 to 15 shows. Thus we doubled the closing gala,” specified Karim Debbouze, director of the festival, during the press conference held on Wednesday in Casablanca, in the presence of Salim Cheikh, Director General of the second channel 2M, as well as the young comedians Miz, Eko, Youssef Ksiyer or Hamza Filali. This festival 100% dedicated to humour will bring together a panel of national and international artists who will perform on different stages of the ochre city. Indeed, the opening show will be given by Eko. This comedian with multiple talents will perform on the stage of the Badii Palace. After having performed the opening acts for Gad Elmaleh with his first show, Miz is invited to the festival to present his show “Miz en scène” on the stage of Dar Attakafa. Also to be discovered is the show by comedian Malik Bentalha on the stage of the Royal Theatre. In this same place, Jeff Panacloc will perform. On the stage of the French Institute will perform Baptiste Lecaplain who, through his show, transports us into his absurd world where nothing stops him anymore. Not to forget the gala which will take place at the Badii Palace. It will bring together Jamel Debbouze, Kad Merad, Patrick Timsit, Franck Dubosc, Malik Bentalha and others. Indeed, this show will be the subject of a television recording to travel the world on TV screens in Morocco, France, Belgium, Canada, and in more than a dozen countries. Furthermore, the festival offers festival-goers free shows, performances in the streets of the city, a friendly charity match at the Grand Stadium, magical aftershows… The Marrakech du Rire will once again mark the city with its passage and we will hear bursts of laughter across the continents thanks to television broadcasts in several dozen countries around the world.
