Network renewal: Méditel starts with Marrakech

As part of its network equipment renewal programme, Méditel began with the ochre city. Thus, Marrakech is the first high-density network city to receive the operator's new infrastructure. Following the pilot schemes in Essaouira and Taroudant, the ochre city represents an important step in the deployment of Méditel's latest-generation network. According to a press release, more than 750,000 Marrakchis will now be able to benefit from the new network. The transition to the new infrastructure has, according to the same source, provided the city of Marrakech with the best network coverage, with 100% 3G. The speed of 3G connections has been tripled, with the maximum speed now increasing from 14 to 42 Mbps.
