The Cartes Afrique Forum returns for its eighth edition to Marrakech on 25 and 26 April 2013, and will focus on the impact of new electronic payment methods in the financial inclusion process. In this regard, according to a press release, I-conférences and MasterCard have announced their collaboration for the fifth consecutive year on this major sector event which has seen, since its launch in 2006, strong participation from professionals in digital security, cards, and contactless payments. Thus, Cartes Afrique is a two-day event organised by i-conférences in partnership with MasterCard and the regional electronic banking centres CMI, GIM UEMOA, Gimtel, SMT, GIMAC, and Sarrafa. The 2013 edition of Cartes Afrique will focus on the link between financial inclusion and new payment methods, ranging from innovations to prepaid solutions. "Financial inclusion for all in the Middle East and Africa is a primary subject for MasterCard, and we are delighted to support the Cartes Afrique Forum for the fifth consecutive year," declared Faissal Khdiri, General Manager of MasterCard, North Africa and Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa.
