A regional laboratory for digital trace analysis was inaugurated, Tuesday evening, at the Marrakech police prefecture, in order to better fight against cybercrime. This laboratory, whose missions are the analysis of digital traces, the reading of various seized computer media, and technical assistance to investigators, comes in addition to the central laboratories of Rabat and Casablanca, and the regional one in Fez.

This laboratory will have to cover the regions of Marrakech, Agadir, Laâyoune, and Safi, with a view to generalising this experience to the other regions of the Kingdom.

This new national security structure in Marrakech is equipped with the necessary equipment for legal digital investigation, meeting international standards in the matter.

It is also endowed with competent human resources specialised in the fields of legal digital investigations.
