The associative space of Laâyoune hosted, during the past week, the constituent general assembly of the Sahrawi Association for the Support of Victims of Anti-Personnel Mines. This assembly, which brought together a group of victims, took place in the presence of a large number of local associative actors. The association has made awareness of the dangers of mines and means of protection one of its priorities. The statutes of the association also insist on the means to fight against the exclusion of these victims and on the need to popularise information capable of preventing other innocents from being victims of this silent death.
