Birth of quintuplets

Birth of quintuplets

If in the four corners of the globe, the birth of quintuplets, sextuplets, or even more no longer constitutes an unusual event, in the Saharan provinces in general and in Laâyoune in particular, this type of event continues to arouse the attention of the populations and officials. For the first time, doctors at the Belmehdi Hospital in Laâyoune had to perform a caesarean section to deliver four babies from the same mother. The 28-year-old woman went to the hospital where she was monitored during her pregnancy and where she knew she would give birth to quadruplets. Confident in her doctor, the young woman, without worrying about what could happen to her, submitted to the caesarean section that the medical team had to perform successfully, giving birth to two boys and two girls whose weights vary between 900g and one kilo.

According to medical sources, the mother and the newborns are in good health. To congratulate her, the Wali and the officials of the region went to her bedside and expressed their best wishes for this event, the first of its kind in the region.
