Eight people lost their lives in a road accident that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday on the N° 1 national road linking the cities of Larache and Ksar El-Kebir.

According to local authorities in the city of Ksar El-Kebir, the accident also left 38 injured, 20 of whom are in a serious condition, who were transferred to the hospitals of Tangier and Larache to receive the necessary care. The accident was the result of a head-on collision between a goods transport vehicle that was overtaking on a continuous line and a coach coming from the opposite direction, the same source specifies.
