One person was killed and another seriously injured in an accident that occurred on Sunday on the road connecting Kénitra to Sidi Yahia du Gharb, it was learned from local authorities.

Two vehicles collided head-on, causing the immediate death of a passenger and leaving eight slightly injured, it is specified.

The injured were evacuated to the Idrissi regional hospital in Kénitra.

The accident was reportedly due to speeding and unauthorised overtaking.
