Apple Festival

The small town of Immouzer Kandar is preparing to celebrate its 12th Apple Festival, which will take place from September 6 to 11 under the theme "Apples at the service of development".
Apple Festival

Initiated jointly by the Association of Populations of the Mountains of the World and the municipal council of Immouzer Kandar, this festival is now intended to be an annual cultural event. It will be marked by concerts given by a plethora of Moroccan artists and groups inspired by popular and classical arts.

This edition, which aims to promote local tourism in particular, will also be an opportunity for tourism sector professionals to shed light, through the organisation of conferences and round tables, on the role of mountain tourism in human development.

The festival, which is in its twelfth edition, will be enhanced by the crowning of the "Apple Queen" and her runners-up, followed by a carnival, a highlight of this event.

For the organisers, the festival is an ideal opportunity for the city to position itself among the main tourist sites in Morocco, and also an opportunity to involve young people in the animation of the city and to sensitise them to the values of citizenship.

Arboriculture, mainly the apple tree, occupies a predominant place in the local economy of the small town of Immouzer Kandar (pearl of the Middle Atlas) known as the "valley of apples".
