The city of Ifrane will not miss its annual appointment with the festivities and joys of the summer season. The public will have the opportunity to savour the programme of its International "Tourtit" Festival from 23 to 26 August, which will be celebrating its sixth anniversary. This event aims to highlight the role of this Middle Atlas city in the debate between national and international cultural components, regarding different forms of artistic expression. For four days, festival-goers will enjoy a rich and varied programme to suit all tastes. Artistic evenings, sports competitions, fine arts exhibitions and theatrical performances, in addition to numerous activities focused on the theme of nature.
The opening of this event will take place in the village of nature and solidarity development, with a "local products" competition, where a prize will be awarded to the best stall, the best cooperative or the best association. Young festival-goers, generally consisting of children from summer camps, will be entitled to fine arts workshops, supervised by local painters and members of the Environmental Protection Association. The theme chosen for this competition is "the environment and water in children's imagination". One of the important moments of this edition will be the competition scheduled between the artisans of the Middle Atlas.
Visitors to the city of caves will also have a date with an artistic programme, hosted by artists Hatem Ammor, Layla El Barraq, Daoudya, the Siham troupe, and the group Ostina Tono. Meanwhile, Amazigh song will be represented by Mustapha Oumguil, Tachinwit and Cheikh Mabrouk. The city of cedars promises a pleasant cultural, artistic and fun stay for its visitors.
