A programme dedicated to children

Diversified activities will be offered free of charge and supervised by numerous associations committed to the preservation of the marine environment.

D-1 before the start of the 3rd edition of the Sea Forum which will be held in El Jadida from 6 to 10 May, where nearly 2,500 people are expected.

This international meeting dedicated to the sustainable development of the sea and coastal zones will be organised around the theme: "The Sea joins the regions it separates", and will bring together this year between 80 and 100 speakers who will debate the issues, activities, and resources linked to the sea, in the Atlantic and Mediterranean contexts.

In addition to major participants, the Forum has set up a programme dedicated to children. Thus, from 8 to 10 May, 3,000 children are expected to be welcomed at the Children's Archipelago in the heart of the city. On the menu: introductions to water and beach sports; awareness-raising actions on sustainable development; beach cleaning operations; film screenings; artistic workshops; activities to discover the marine environment…

Furthermore, Planète Citoyenne, an NGO for Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection, will proceed to the official christening of its 9-metre school sailboat "Planet Sea", which will be an opportunity to introduce young people to the pleasures of sailing.

For its part, the Bautilus navigation school is organising a university sailing regatta "The Student Trophy", during which 10 schools and universities will compete over two days.

"All these activities will be offered free of charge and supervised by numerous associations committed to the preservation of the marine environment," specifies a press release from the organisers.

As a reminder, the 3rd edition of the Sea Forum provides for the organisation of two plenary sessions and five thematic workshops intended for an initiated public, as well as conferences and cultural meetings hosted by major personalities who will address the general public.
