The Marjane chain continues to expand. On Tuesday 10 December, this brand inaugurated a 33rd hypermarket in El Jadida in the presence of Mouâad Jamai, governor of the province, and Mohamed Lamrani, general manager of Marjane Holding. "The establishment of the Marjane brand responds to a real expectation of the inhabitants of the province and will contribute to dynamising the city, encouraging investment in the territory, creating jobs, and ensuring social and territorial cohesion", specifies a statement from the brand.
Located on a plot of 4.64 hectares, the overall project required an investment of 94 million dirhams excluding land. The shopping centre includes a 6,840 m2 hypermarket, as well as a 5,160 m2 shopping arcade with 15 shops and a catering area. The shopping centre also offers a petrol station and a car park with a capacity of 895 spaces and is equipped with a 6,910 m2 space intended for the development of medium-sized stores dedicated to brands complementing the offer proposed by the shopping centre. Marjane Holding also participated in the construction of a multi-sports hall with a covered area of 2,560 m2 with a capacity of 660 seats.
The investment for this hall is 15 million dirhams. The opening of this shopping centre has generated the creation of nearly 950 direct and indirect jobs. For information, the Marjane brand will open a store in Larache before the end of 2013 and plans 6 openings for 2014.
