Located at the junction of the rich Saïs plain and the first foothills of the Middle Atlas, the town is 30 km south of Meknès, 60 km south-west of Fès, 30 km north of Azrou, 70 km south-east of Khémisset, and (as the crow flies) 200 km east of Casablanca.
