The Jacques-Majorelle School opens in Benguerir
The Jacques-Majorelle School, attached to the Jacques-Majorelle school group of Marrakech, opens its doors in Benguerir. The result of cooperation between UM6P and the French educational network OSUI-Mlfmonde, the establishment is distinguished by its educational approach, which favors quality learning from early childhood, the group indicates in a statement. It aims to offer families in the region an educational environment conducive to the development of children, by guaranteeing them stimulating and fulfilling support.

Indeed, the school seeks to develop the psychosocial skills of students, using outdoor classrooms, play areas, and inclusive spaces to promote the cognitive development of students as well as their physical and social well-being. The school also promotes collaborative practices, involving students, teachers, and parents in a common educational process, thus strengthening the cohesion and commitment of the entire educational community, the same source specifies. Its vision is not limited to the educational aspects of learning, but also commits to the promotion of environmental awareness.

As an innovative school, the establishment is distinguished by initiatives such as the marmotheque, a library rich in resources and equipped with digital educational material, designed to enrich the vocabulary of students and support their learning. The school also promotes the scientific investigation approach by integrating programs inspired by the Singapore school and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) principles, thus encouraging creativity and the practical application of scientific knowledge.

The Jacques-Majorelle School of Benguerir is also committed to promoting environmental awareness, as part of its “Green School” initiative which implements an E3D (Establishment in Sustainable Development Approach) labeling project. Especially since water management occupies a central place in its concerns, with educational projects aimed at optimizing the use of this precious resource. In addition, a pedagogical farm offers students the opportunity to learn the principles of sustainable agriculture while respecting biodiversity.
