Beyond its unifying role for Moroccan cinema, the creation of the High Mountains Film Festival came with several ideas to be concretised for Amazigh film, notably its distribution throughout this region which experiences a large tourist influx, and then its promotion within the framework of Moroccan cinema in the Amazigh language.
