The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy and the Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (SMIT) are launching a call for expressions of interest (AMI) for the Azilal Dino Parc, which marks a decisive step in the implementation of the tourism roadmap.
"This innovative project, representing an investment of 100 million dirhams, illustrates our commitment to diversifying and enriching the Kingdom's tourism offer," stressed the Minister of Tourism, Fatim-Zahra Ammor. According to a statement from the supervisory ministry, requests for information regarding this call for expressions of interest can be sent to the email address: ami-dinoparc@smit.gov.ma. As the first geopark in Africa labelled by UNESCO, this project, located in the heart of the M’Goun Geopark, aims to boost sustainable socio-economic development for the benefit of the region.
It is part of a geotourism development approach, highlighting unique geological treasures, such as fossilised dinosaur footprints and the almost complete skeleton of a sauropod. Designed as a unique destination combining entertainment and education, the Dino Parc is part of a modern vision of sustainable tourism. On a prime 5-hectare site, in the immediate vicinity of the famous Ouzoud Waterfalls, the park will offer an immersive experience around the fascinating world of dinosaurs. Its strategic location – 27 km from Azilal and 76 km from Béni Mellal – makes it a major attraction for the region.
