International Congress on Toxicology

International Congress on Toxicology

"Toxicology beyond borders" is the theme of the fifth International Congress of Toxicology and the second Symposium on Envenomations which will take place from the 23rd to the 25th of this month in Agadir, at the initiative of the Moroccan Society of Clinical and Analytical Toxicology (SMTCA). This meeting will be an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge between 200 eminent experts and researchers from 13 countries, namely Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, Ivory Coast, France, Mali, Mexico, Morocco, Algeria, the United Kingdom, Senegal, Tunisia and Uruguay, indicates a press release from the organisers. The participants will have to bring their experiences and expose the innovations in terms of analytical techniques, but also the new methods and approaches relating to epidemiological, clinical, forensic and therapeutic aspects. The scientific programme of this edition includes 11 plenary conferences, 29 oral communications and 160 poster communications. It is structured around several sessions, including "food toxicology", "traditional pharmacopoeia", "environmental toxicology", "paediatric toxicology", "drugs and alcohol" and "envenomation".

This seminar is organised in collaboration with the French Society of Analytical Toxicology, the Society of Clinical Toxicology (France), the Anti-Poison and Pharmacovigilance Centre of Morocco and the Pasteur Institute of Morocco. Founded in 2003, the SMTCA is a learned society whose main objective is the prevention of toxic risk in synergy with health vigilance and security, as well as the development of toxicology through cooperation with representative learned societies in this field. n
