Majda El Roumi sings this evening in Agadir

A successful singer and composer, Magida El Roumi celebrates this evening with the public the 10th anniversary of the [Timitar Festival->19709] - "Signs and Cultures", which kicked off on Wednesday evening in Agadir.

The famous Lebanese artist performs this evening from 9 p.m., at Al Amal Square in the capital of the Souss in a show that promises a great moment of relaxation.

Daughter of Halim El Roumi, Majda El Roumi is well known in Morocco where she has many fans.

Born in Kfarchima in Lebanon in December 1956, the singer became interested in music very early on. While she was still young, she was already seduced by the great artists of the time, of whom she was a big fan.

An engaged artist, Majda El Roumi has always sung for patriotic causes, condemning war both in Lebanon and in Palestine. A fervent supporter of peace, she has never ceased to advocate for the renaissance and union of the Arab nation.

Also known for her successes in oriental song, the Lebanese artist has always distinguished herself by the choice of her collaborators, interpreting the lyrics of great poets and composers, betting on quality and not on quantity.

She has managed to build an image all her own and shine in the sky of "tarab" alongside the greats of Arab song and is today an idol and an icon throughout the Arab world.

It should be noted that other artists well known to the Moroccan public are also expected this evening in the same place. Like Ismaël Lô (Senegal), Ribab Fusion and guests (Agadir), Dj Dubosmium, and Vj Kalamour.

The Timitar Festival, which ends this Saturday the 29th, works for the promotion of the regional cultures of Souss-Massa-Drâa by giving Amazigh creativity its letters of nobility. A celebration where Amazigh music and world music come together in the same desire for exchange and sharing.
