10th edition of the Timitar Festival

10th edition of the Timitar Festival

The 10th edition of the Timitar Festival, Signs and Cultures, will take place from 26 to 29 June in Agadir, with a programme featuring a constellation of artists from diverse backgrounds and different sensibilities, all sharing a passion for singing about love, joy, and fraternity.

"From Najwa Karam to Kadem Essaher, via Samira Saïd, or even Jimmy Cliff, Gilberto Gil, Kool & The Gang, Carlinhos Brown, and The Earth Wind & Fire Experience, the Timitar Festival positions itself as a major hub for cultural exchange between national artists and internationally renowned artistic ambassadors," stated a press release from the organisers on Monday.

For its 10th anniversary, Timitar promises an exceptional programme with names such as Majda El Roumi, Cheb Khaled, Marcel Khalifé & the Al Mayadine Ensemble, Kenny Rogers, Hanggai, and Idir.

Furthermore, Latifa Raafat, Nass El Ghiwan, Fnaïre, Fatima Tabaamrant, Hoba Hoba, Oudaden, Ahmed Soultane, and many others will come, once again, to prove that the national artist is at the heart of the success of the Timitar Festival, which attracts one million spectators.

To achieve this, the organisers are planning three stages placed in the heart of the city of Agadir, more than sixty shows, carefully arranged artistic line-ups, and essential Moroccan and Amazigh voices alongside around twenty international groups presenting the rich diversity of world cultures.
