Two matches counting for the update of the Pro Elite 1 football championship calendar (25th day) are scheduled for today, Wednesday. These are the match that will pit HUSA against AS FAR at 17:30 at the Al Inbiâat stadium in Agadir, as well as the clash that will pit WAF against WAC at night (20:00) at the Fes Sports Complex.
Regarding the first confrontation, only one option is available for AS FAR: victory. A scenario much hoped for by Abderrazak Khairy's protégés, which, if it takes shape, will mean pole position alongside Raja.
The Military, who are coming off a hard-fought qualification for the round of 16 of the CAF Confederation Cup, will certainly not have an easy task against a Souss team which, with 30 units on the clock, has secured its place in the big league to a high percentage. This promises in any case an exciting match between two teams with diametrically opposed ambitions. As for the second match, which will feature the two Wydads of the championship, it is of great importance for WAF, which is forced to win to escape the turbulence zone. With a meagre haul of 24 points, the Fes club has only four points more than CODM, the bottom of the table, two more than KAC, fifteenth, and one more than RBM, fourteenth.
Except that the mission will certainly be most arduous against a WAC in a bad way, having not been able to win for a long time in order to rectify the situation. A club undermined by a serious crisis, abandoned by a large segment of its supporters, determined to observe sit-ins until President Akram and the steering committee throw in the towel. In the meantime, it is WAC that is paying the price.
As a reminder, during the first leg matches, AS FAR had disposed of HUSA, just as WAC had of WAF, with the identical score of one goal to nil.
Note that the Programming Commission has just communicated the programme for the 27th day of the championship, a round whose matches will not be played simultaneously as previously reported by the national media.
Thus, the ball for this day will be opened on Friday at 7 p.m. by the match that will pit MAT against OCK. On Saturday, three clashes are scheduled, namely KAC-DHJ and RBM-FUS at 4 p.m. and WAF-RSB at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, it's time for the long-distance duel between Raja and AS FAR, who will host CRA and CODM respectively, matches whose kick-off will be given at the same time at 3:30 p.m.
As for the HUSA-MAS match, it is scheduled from 6 p.m. This round will be closed on Monday (6 p.m.) by the match that will pit OCS against WAC.
