The 7th edition of the "Parés pour l’avenir" programme

The results of the 7th edition of the "Parés pour l’avenir" (Ready for the Future) programme, intended to facilitate the integration of graduates into active life via trade, simulation and professional role-play workshops, were presented recently in Agadir.

It is an educational programme that aspires to contribute to the reduction of graduate unemployment in view of the scale this phenomenon is taking, emphasised Lahoucine Aboudrar, Dean of the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences at Ibn Zohr University in Agadir, the initiator of this programme in partnership with socio-economic operators in the Souss-Massa-Drâa region.

Noting that this "small initiative" of the Faculty is intended as a contribution to bridging the gap between the supply of training, on the one hand, and the requirements of the job market, on the other, he noted that this programme includes training in the form of workshops for the benefit of students to introduce them to project assembly techniques, instil in them an entrepreneurial culture and encourage the most qualified among them to embark on the adventure of investment, according to a partnership approach between university establishments and economic actors. He explained that this training, which benefited 150 students out of 350 applicants this year, is of particular importance for a Faculty like the Law Faculty, which has 25,000 students and does not provide applied courses.

Within the framework of this programme, the 7th edition of "Parés pour l’avenir" organised, from February 28th to April 23rd, an awareness campaign in the various establishments under Ibn Zohr University, notably in Agadir, Taroudant, Guelmim and Ouarzazate, with the objective of highlighting the importance of undertaking and daring, by giving young people the desire to launch themselves as entrepreneurs and by offering them concrete tools for the realisation of their projects. The programme's promoters also initiated a competition for innovative projects for the benefit of young people who have benefited from training in business plan development with the guidance of socio-economic operators and university partners, notably the CRI, Banque Populaire, the Centre for Young Leaders, the Souss-Massa-Drâa Initiative Association and the CGEM Souss-Massa-Drâa. More than 6,000 students benefited from the services of the previous edition of "Parés pour l’avenir", while six project leaders were selected from the 45 beneficiaries of the training provided.
