A quantity of more than seven tonnes of chira, meticulously hidden on board three containers of fish intended for export, was seized on Saturday evening during a joint operation by the police and customs at the port of Agadir.
The elements of the joint patrol discovered this quantity of drugs after searching three containers loaded with 21 tonnes of fish coming from Laâyoune and destined for Great Britain, according to a police source.
No arrests were made immediately, the same source specifies, adding that investigations are underway to unravel the threads of this affair.
