Es-Semara – The National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) attaches particular importance to the promotion of the situation of women, at the level of the Es-Semara province, through the programming and implementation of several projects aimed at strengthening their socio-economic empowerment.
Thus, the INDH continues its efforts to meet the challenge of the economic integration of women, within the framework of the 3rd programme relating to income improvement and economic inclusion of youth, particularly the axis of social and solidarity economy.
In this context, several projects have been set up by the Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH) of Es-Semara, to allow cooperatives to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for the development of their entrepreneurial spirit, with a view to creating a new generation model of women's cooperatives.
In a statement to the MAP, the head of the "Income Improvement and Economic Inclusion of Youth" service at the Social Action Division (DAS) of the Es-Semara province, El Houssin Al Mansouri, stressed that the CPDH has allocated 3 million dirhams for the benefit of the youth of the province for the year 2024, in order to promote social and solidarity economy and entrepreneurship projects.
Women's cooperatives in the province benefited from a budget of approximately 1.5 MDH, i.e., about 50% of the total amount allocated for this purpose, specifying that 30% of projects registered in the 3rd programme were funded within the framework of income improvement.
Regarding the axis of social and solidarity economy, the CPDH proceeded to the financing and equipment of a workshop for the valorisation of medicinal and aromatic plants for the benefit of the women's cooperative "Karb Al-Hawa", with a contribution from the INDH estimated at 30,000 dirhams, he continued.
It also involves the equipment of a textile workshop for the benefit of the "Bawader Al-Khair" cooperative, whose contribution from the INDH amounts to 40,000 dirhams, he added.
In short, the INDH remains a lever for development for women, promoting their socio-economic inclusion, and allowing them to acquire skills to access new professional perspectives.
