The 424th issue of this bimonthly publication (October-November 2024), which relays the full text of the speech addressed by HM King Mohammed VI to the Nation on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March, dedicates its editorial to the developments in the National Cause file.
"Morocco is successfully working to establish the evidence of a tangible reality and an irrevocable truth, based on the foundation of good law, legitimacy and responsible commitment," reads the Royal Speech cited by the editorialist.
Strengthened by this observation and carried by the horizons it opens, His Majesty the King addressed the international community, inviting it to openly and unequivocally side with law and legality, the same source notes.
"The time has therefore come for the United Nations to take its responsibilities by highlighting the great difference between two paradigms: the one embodied by Morocco in its Sahara, realistic and legitimate, and the one based on a sclerotic vision, cut off from the real world and its evolutions," stresses the editorialist, citing the Royal Speech.
Similarly, the management of the affairs of the Moroccan community abroad was addressed by the editorialist, focusing on the Royal Vision aimed at restructuring the bodies dedicated to the Moroccan diaspora. These include the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and the Mohammedia Foundation for Moroccans Residing Abroad.
In the process, the magazine's editorial returned to the State visit to Morocco by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, during which the head of state reaffirmed the Moroccan nature of the Sahara.
"President Macron reiterated the position of the French Republic, this time addressing the two Chambers of the Moroccan Parliament, meeting in a joint session, a whole symbol," notes the author.
"For France, the tenant of the Élysée will insist, the present and the future of this territory are part of Moroccan sovereignty. Autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty is the framework in which this issue must be resolved," observes the same source, citing the French President.
Returning to the royal activities that marked the months of October and November, the magazine reports that HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, and His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, signed, on October 28 at the Royal Cabinet in Rabat, the Declaration on the "Reinforced Exceptional Partnership" between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, with a view to enabling both countries to better respond to all the challenges they both face, by mobilising all relevant sectors of bilateral, regional and international cooperation.
In the process, HM King Mohammed VI and President Emmanuel Macron presided over the signing ceremony of several agreements between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic.
On October 29, the Sovereign, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and TRH Princesses Lalla Khadija, Lalla Meryem, Lalla Asmaa and Lalla Hasnaa, hosted an official dinner at the Royal Palace in Rabat in honour of the President of the French Republic, H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron and his wife Mrs. Brigitte Macron.
The publication also echoes the Council of Ministers chaired by HM the King on October 18 at the Royal Palace of Rabat, devoted to examining the general guidelines of the draft finance law for the year 2025 and approving draft decrees relating to the military domain, as well as several international agreements and a series of appointments to senior positions.
In the field of military cooperation, the FAR magazine reports that in execution of the High Royal Instructions, and within the framework of Moroccan-American military cooperation, a delegation of the Royal Armed Forces led by General of the Army Corps, Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, paid a visit on Monday aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, in the Mediterranean off the city of Al Hoceima.
Furthermore, the General Staff of the FAR hosted, from November 18 to 22, a training of trainers on the theme Women, Peace and Security for the benefit of gender focal points from Senegal, Sierra Leone and Morocco.
Regarding Moroccan-French military cooperation, the publication returns to the visit made from November 12 to 14 by a French military delegation, led by the General Engineer of Armament, Deputy Director for Africa and the Middle East/DGA, Frédéric Dodet.
The visit to Morocco from November 11 to 13 by a Hungarian delegation led by the Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of National Defence was also mentioned by the FAR Magazine, which also recalled the holding, on October 29 and 30 in Rabat, of the Moroccan-Portuguese Joint Military Commission.
In the "Life in the Army" section, the 424th issue of the FAR Magazine focused on the exchange and information seminar for the benefit of commanders of the Centres and Training Units for Conscripts, organised on November 27 at the General Staff of the FAR in Rabat.
The "Dossier" of this new issue of the FAR Magazine offers an immersion in the desert and aquatic hardening courses conducted by student officers of the Royal Military Academy, corroborated by testimonies collected from trainees.
In addition, the publication dedicated its "Focus" section to the 7th edition of the Marrakech Air Show 2024, while the "Health" section focused on the Clinical Haematology department at the Mohammed V Military Instruction Hospital in Rabat, which performed the first bone marrow allograft for a patient (62 years old) suffering from leukaemia.
The "Health" section also offers an interview with Medical Colonel Major, Kamal Doghmi, director of the Moroccan Agency for Blood and its Derivatives.
