Marrakech – The Provincial Committee for Human Development in the Marrakech prefecture approved, today Wednesday, 211 projects for the year 2025, with a financial envelope estimated at 79.17 million dirhams, of which 65.515 million dirhams is a contribution from the National Initiative for Human Development.
The projects, approved during a committee meeting chaired by the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Governor of the Marrakech prefecture, Farid Chourak, included the four programs of the National Initiative for Human Development.
They were distributed between 13 projects within the program to catch up on deficits in infrastructure and basic services in the least equipped territorial areas, with a financial cost of 13.22 million dirhams funded by the National Initiative for Human Development, and 46 projects with 25.02 million dirhams (16.35 million dirhams contribution from the Initiative), within the framework of the program to support people in vulnerable situations.
It also concerns 94 projects within the program to improve income and economic inclusion of young people, with a financial cost of 17.42 million dirhams (14.86 million dirhams contribution from the Initiative), and 58 projects with 23.39 million dirhams (21.17 million dirhams contribution from the Initiative), within the framework of the program to boost human capital for rising generations.
This meeting was marked by the presentation by the Social Work Division of the work program of the National Initiative for Human Development at the level of the Marrakech prefecture for the year 2025, and the presentation of an institutional report on the entrepreneurship support program for young people.
On the other hand, 4 partnership agreements were signed, one within the framework of the program to support people in vulnerable situations, and three partnership agreements within the program to improve income and economic inclusion of young people.
In a speech on the occasion, the Wali of the region highlighted the efforts made by local and provincial governance bodies, as well as all partners who contributed to the preparation of this annual program in line with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In this context, he stressed the need to target the real needs of the population so that these projects have a tangible and sustainable impact, pointing to the importance of strengthening coordination between various actors to ensure the effective and integrated implementation of projects.
On the sidelines of the meeting's proceedings, the Wali of the region oversaw the delivery of equipment and materials purchased within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development for the benefit of three associations working in the field of supporting people in vulnerable situations, in addition to the delivery of five school transport buses for the benefit of a number of territorial communes, as well as five utility vehicles also purchased within the framework of the Initiative.
