The Wilaya authorities in Marrakech, under the supervision of Wali Farid Chourak, have issued a set of decisions against the owners of "Shisha" cafes spread in the Gueliz district in particular, which have turned into a space for attracting minors, tourists, and others.
The Wilaya's decision included the closure of 12 cafes for a period ranging from 15 days to a month, three of which are in the Gueliz area, three in the Military District, and 6 in the Winter District, to force their owners to respect the law and comply with the authorities' instructions, or face permanent closure.
The warning closure came after the authorities and security services carried out a wide campaign over the past few days, during which a set of violations were issued against the owners of these cafes that disturb the residents, and because of their commission of a set of illegal breaches and transgressions.
